This release celebrated the 10th anniversary of Redmine. It comes with the following noticable features:
- It's now possible to have a special "+" menu item in the project menu, that allows to create new issues, documents, Wiki pages and so on. This new menu item replaces the old "New issue", if enabled.
- The jsToolbar CodeRay extension plugin, that is reviewed in the book (page 284), is no longer needed, as Redmine 3.3 now comes with a native toolbar button, that helps inserting code blocks for programming languages quickly and easily.
- It's now possible to configure issue management permissions (such as view, create, comment and delete) for each tracker separately.
- Redmine now sends notifications to all administrators, when some security-related settings are changed by one of them.
